West coast artist, illustrator and textile designer Jackie (Bos) Thomson was raised in Virginia and is a graduate of James Madison University where she earned a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and Painting. After graduation she completed a painting residency at the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
In 2007 she began working as a freelance illustrator and designer, creating independent work in addition to editorial illustration and textile design. She’s been creating textiles with hand weaving since 2003 and started her textile studio Loom Room Textiles in 2014.
